Press conference: Copernicus Hackathon and Summit

A press conference was held this morning at the Digital Innovation Hub to illustrate the details of two important events: “Copernicus Hackathon 2020” and the 1st Summit on “Digital and New Space Economy for SMEs”.

Agostino Bonomo, President of Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza, Pietro Francesco De Lotto, the General Manager of Confartigianato Vicenza and the Head of the DIH Vicenza Matteo Pisanu have highlighted how the DIH Vicenza continues to be a reference point for innovation and digital transformation. Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February university students and developers, engineers, experts and researchers will be the protagonists of the Copernicus Hackthon 2020.

Copernicus is the most important Earth Observation (EO) program funded and promoted by the European Union with the aim of analyzing and monitoring Planet Earth for the benefit of the whole society. To encourage the development of ideas and applications of data, Copernicus therefore also promotes calls for tender on topics of particular relevance.

One of these calls was won by Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza, capturing the interesting effects of the new space economy, digital transformation and artificial intelligence in the SMEs. Not surprisingly, these will also be the topics of the summit on Friday 14 at the Odeo of the Olympic Theater, promoted by Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza.
